Agent to the Stars by John Scalzi

4.0

As always Scalzi's writing is fun. The story itself is half ridiculous, half deadly serious. An alien race would be lucky to find an agent like Tom to manage their introduction.
The intro to the book will tell you that this is the first novel Scalzi wrote. Though enjoyable, it did have one problem... there's very little differentiation between the voices and attitudes of the major characters. Their back stories and characterization are great however and the similarity of dialogue is not as off-putting as it would be in a worse book.
I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a comedic sci-fi romp.
