This is the third book in the increasingly entertaining "Order" series. I was looking forward to this book, and found that ms Ballantine corrected the slow start of the last book, but perhaps went overboard on the plot twists and accelerated pacing.

This book really hit the ground running. At the end of the last book, our heroes were separated from each other, and one (Sorcha) was paralysed But this book didn't spend any time meandering around with setup, but plunged straight into new problems and twists. We are given three main characters each following their own story, but all three are amazingly written!

I think this is the fastest I have read a book, as I only had 2 sessions of reading. I would have read it in one session if time had allowed! We are given some great character growth, and the chance to see Sorcha, Raed and Merrick all have opportunites to shine, and all are given some extremely difficult challenges that emerged quite organically from the ongoing story. I don't want to give any spoilers, but the twists allowed this book to end, but I really want to see how Ms Ballantine manages to pull them out of this fire!
