The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
5.0

Oh goodness, I loved this book. I listened to it on audible and it was just fantastic. I read it as an adult, so I have have had a different appreciation of it than its younger target audience. I really enjoyed that it was narrated by death. It was an interesting way to tell the story and I thought it worked really well. Also I liked that it showed civilians rather than soldiers. I haven't read many books about WWII that center around civilians, so seeing the effects of war on people rather than the heroics of soldiers was interesting.
