Okayyyy!!! This was such a good book!! final rating would be 4.75 stars, I did have a slow start getting into this book but I am a huge mood reader and I read so much romantasy/fantasy books in January that I think it was the start of a slump when I started this and I wanted to give it my full attention. So I read a couple thrillers and cleansed my pallet to come back and oooh baby am I glad I did! This story will have you kicking, screaming, crying, throwing up!!! I'm the absolute best way. The spice was spicing and the world building is easy to follow. Another WONDERFUL thing I love that Nicolle May did was providing a pronuciation guide in her book which I so appreciated. And the love story in this book was just everything. I have been craving another good romantasy that had me hooked and this delivered on all counts. I'm so excited for the rest of this series because that endinggg *chefs kiss* Check your trigger warnings but if you're a dark romance and a romantasy girlieee (girlie meant completely gender neutral) then definitely pick this one up!
