The first half was good. Loved every bit of it. Both the characters are so cute while crushing on each other. The problem I have with most romcom books is when they get together. After it, the book becomes boring and stagnant. That became the case with this book. I did not like the conflict of the couple, I did not like the ending.

The characters tried to be fleshed out but the female character, Annabelle, did not do it for me. The biggest problem I had was when she accepted a proposal from a man she just met. She was twice married before 30 and now she’s engaged again to a man she just met? Also, the part where one of her ex husband drops by to talk to her, it was plain weird and felt purely plot device.

The male character is very stubborn and hot. And rude. But he does grow a little bit. Not a lot.

The side characters did not feel like real people.

But overall, cute read but don’t expect anything more.
