Girl, Stolen by April Henry

3.5

A friend recommended this book after she saw me reading girl forgotten by the same author. It seemed up my alley of books I enjoyed so I got it from my local library ready to read! It’s a smaller book (213 pages) but it was a fairly medium/slow paced book for me so it still took me a bit to read. I also wasn’t THAT into (sadly). The concept seems slightly plausible but everything after seems fake? Unlikely? Whatever the word for it, I was skeptical of the events post her kidnapping. As usual I love a good split prospective book as it switches between griffins and Cheyennes  povs it gave us a lot of insight. I am not blind so I can’t speak on the accuracy’s of the book, but the author has seemed to do her research and talked to the right people to figure out what it’s like.
I will say!! The twists at the very end had me on my tippy tippy toes! Griffins mother being dead, the first “cop” being Roy and how cheyennes able to escape! I feel connected to griffins and cheyennes ‘relationship’ and I know it’s not a ✨relationship✨ but they way the bond is interesting
needless to say I will be reading the sequel I need to know what happens!
