This one's tricky. I think it does exactly what the author wants it to do. Which is to say tell a story where all hope is lost and one guy just slowly loses everything including his sanity and most of his humanity. I think the romance is forced and half baked but the dead guy talking in his head the whole time is hilarious. Honestly, kind of a mixed bag but probably worth the read if you've already read the first once.
