I enjoyed this story! It was unique and really fun world building. There was adventure and drama and laughs. I liked how the author approached what could have been a large power dynamic and always love a capable heroine! The communication issues reminded me of some of the other Risda/IPB books- these former slaves just struggle sometimes and I get it even while I’m like “everyone JUST say what you mean!” It makes sense, it does! 
I would LOVE LOVE to hear the story of Balo and the seakind and how that all occured. I was smitten with Balo and knowing he is Yshremi was so intriguing!
