i had the pleasure of receiving an ARC for dream by the shadows and logan’s debut novel was captivating.
the story jumps right into an intriguing plot with the chaos of demons and the shadow bringer caught in an eternal curse. for fantasy-romance lovers, DBTS is the perfect book to pass the time.
i thoroughly enjoyed reading about esmer’s experience in the dream-world and how strong-willed she is! she’s definitely my favorite character from DBTS.
the only part i felt was lacking was esmer and the shadow bringer’s relationship. i’m not the biggest fan of beauty and the beast retellings so maybe that’s a part of why i could not get into their dynamic? their interactions were surface-level at most times.
overall, it was a great read. i enjoyed the plot & the romance was alright.
