The Storyteller's Daughter: A Retelling of the Arabian Nights by Cameron Dokey

4.0

Another excellent re-telling by Dokey. Her characterization of Sharhrazad was clever and well thought out. I enjoyed the emphasis on the story of Sharhrazad's mother as a basis for the story, very neat idea. Dokey continues to focus on the stories of the women in the fairy tales but her men are also on a more realized quest as well. She often chooses one relationship that is always the "bad" to make good in her stories and here she does not disappoint. Another excellent installment in the "Once Upon A Time" series.
