This is a beautiful book. I love being able to learn about history in the form that makes you feel like you’re consuming fiction.
You can feel the care put in to crafting this story. Definitely something I’ll be recommending to many in the future.
The only reason it wasn’t quite a 5 is that I could see a lot of the “twists” coming. But otherwise, enjoyed this book immensely.

The first half of this book is about the Vietnam war & the second half is about the trauma/ptsd experienced in the aftermath. Every graphic detail felt important to the story. But it is indeed violent & traumatic at many stages of the story.
