This book is so unlike anything else I’ve read. The prose is captivating and poetic, and the world building is nonsensical - it feels like Shakespeare has come back and written a sapphic, time-travelling epic. I didn’t understand a lot of it and yet I loved it. I can imagine this being annotated in-depth in an English class.
