All Men of Genius by Lev AC Rosen

I agree with the description that this book is Oscar Wilde meets Shakespeare. If you like cross-dressing, farces, and steampunk then it's the book for you. Even though I loved this book I still had to take off a star because of a couple of things that bugged me. First is Violet thinking wistfully how much she loves dresses. I think this weakens her character a little. I would have preferred her to discover how dressing like a boy made her feel free and how she would try and incorporate some of that freedom in how she would dress when she changed from being Ashton back to being Violet. The ending was also pretty rushed. The whole book is one big build up to the end and suddenly it's all resolved in about 5 pages. Violet spends the whole book worried about what will happen when she reveals herself only to have the fallout last a couple of pages.
