Anne of Avonlea
by L.M. Montgomery
Anne always reminds me to enjoy the little things, romanticise life and that you’re never too old for dreaming.
Not my fave book of the series, but still charming + delightful!
“A tall, slim girl, ‘half past sixteen’, with serious grey eyes and hair which her friends called auburn, had sat down on the broad red standstone doorstep of a Prince Edward Island farmhouse one ripe afternoon in August, firmly resolved to construe so many lines of Virgil.”
