The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin

5.0

This reads more like a philosophy book than a sci-fi novel. It reminded me a lot of L’ingénu by Voltaire. It has the same “vibe” with the stranger from a less sophisticated (and in this case, anarchist) society coming to a more “advanced” one and giving his analysis on things.

Le Guin’s writing is, as always, excellent. The prose is a pleasure to read. I did find the story had some slight pacing problems and the plot could seem a bit slow at times, but I’m being harsh. It is a very stimulating and interesting read.
