I really wanted to like this book more than I did, mostly because parts were quite humorous. I also listened to segments via audiobook and the reader did an excellent job. Many of the characters are deeply unlikeable, however, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I found that in the end the storyline felt rather underdeveloped and perhaps wrapped itself up in too neat of a bow.
Read if: you’re amused by spoiled bridezillas and the general nature of the wedding industrial complex and will appreciate some dark humor.
Skip if: any of the above is triggering, you’re looking for sophisticated plot, or you truly don’t understand or are not interested in the moneyed East Coast elite.
