Shelf talker at Powell’s on Hawthorne convinced me to read this. Great characters and unique narrator voice. Interesting world building and plot. Pacing is almost like real time and is realistic enough with the narrator’s thought processes that it can feel repetitive and frustrating. Cuz, you know, human thoughts are repetitive and frustrating. But it’s really good, so 3 stars maybe is just for the mass market print size? Also I accidentally got high as fuck on a gummy in Arch Cape, and this book and my introduction to Instagram Reels were the only things tethering me to reality
