Nat Enough (Nat Enough #1), Volume 1 by Maria Scrivan

3.0

I felt like this book was very cute, and I really did like the art style. I also felt that Nat's character arc was very well done, you see her going from self conscious and insecure, desperate for her former best friend's attention, to realizing she doesn't need that validation at all.

I also feel like the art style made this book very unique, while also making it feel home made. The color pencil, line work, and etc, are full of personality, and feel like they were made by the main character herself.

I'm not giving this book a higher rating because it does feel like the same old story of "finding yourself/ learning to love yourself" and that's it. While there are some quirky/ cute moments, it just overall feels like something I've read before. I'm not saying that's bad, but I feel like story wise the book doesn't stand out that much, but art wise it's very unique book.

This was a quick fun read, and I'd really pick it up again, but ngl, I did think it was for second graders at first lol. Okay, that's just me throwing shade. Anyway, it's an okay book overall, and I'd recommend for either a chill read, or just for kids who are similar to the main character.
