Society of the Snow: The Definitive Account of the World's Greatest Survival Story by Pablo Vierci

well-written!! many of the survivors' greatest achievement being their family absolutely devastated me

loved these passages:

“…I knew that there my mother was observing that same star and that same moon. It was during those moments that I talked to her. Later my mother told me, I stood looking out at the moon and at one very bright star, thinking about you.”
- coche’s chapter

“…The moon was the only method of communication I had with my family. My mother knew that it was the only thing we could both see at the same time.”
- carlitos’ chapter
