This was a surprisingly sweet with an intriguing plot that had me hooked from beginning to end.
I did not expect to feel as invested in the plot as I did when I began this one. I expected just the run of the mill monster smut with a thin plot, instead found myself immersed in some excellent world-building, great plot work, and a romance that had me swooning. I truly enjoyed this one.
The only hiccups I had were found in the dialogue-- sometimes the dialogue read so modern and it clashed with the setting. It unfortunately did take me out of the story more than I would have liked.
Nevertheless, I was always reeled back in-- rooting for the love story wholeheartedly.
I came for the monster smut but stayed for the lovely romance and layered plot.
