I love Juliette Cross books so I was so excited for this Romantasy, set in a Roman inspired backdrop. I really enjoyed Firebird and it did not disappoint!
I love a dual narrative and it was nice getting to know both Malina and Julian. The dragon lore was interesting, particularly the 'half-skin' aspect and I've not seen it in a Roman setting before, which I enjoyed!
I did struggle a bit with the slave/master dynamic between the two of them and a bit of the instalove but do find that makes sense when it comes to fated mates.
This was an enjoyable Romantasy and I'm looking forward to more in the series, especially after the sneak peek - I need to see the next couple's story now!
