Given the current state of the world I felt I should finally read this book as it come recommend by almost everyone. It contains some good commentary about totalitarian regimes and asks many questions about what makes someone human. I did find it a slog to get through as there are only three plot points. The majority of the book consists of descriptions and Winston's internal monologue. Glad I read it but probably won’t read again.
