This was a really emotional read for me. My heart hurt for Sal pretty much the entire book. He made the best of a bad situation and did so much for his lady (who did not deserve him, imo). I feel like Bea held Sal to standards she didn’t want to meet herself. She wanted honesty from him and she wasn’t willing to return it. 

Amazing writing. Julia broke us down and then put us back together. I felt so emotionally attached to these characters and that doesn’t happen a lot for me. 

I am looking forward to reading more Wells brothers books because Ben is slowly becoming one of my favorite book characters!!
