Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

5.0

NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.

I am heartbroken. Fully and utterly heartbroken. Livia...

I have to applaud Cassandra Clare for constructing yet again an amazing complex world with amazing characters. Julian is such a complicated multi-dimensional character,he’s just impossible not to love.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this book, especially the London Institute setting. Magnus and Alec’s presences were a pleasant surprise just because I love Alec so much! I’m so happy with the way he has evolved and I can’t believe he’s such an amazing dad. I felt so bad for him during the end, where he just looked paralyzed at the mayhem happening around him.

And Emma. I disagreed a bit with how she hid the truth of the Parabatai curse from Julian, even though I understand why she did it. She’s such a fierce, powerful, smart and cunning character. The scene where she killed one of the seven riders... Yaaaas that’s my girl!!

I really liked the dynamic between Ty,Kit and Livvy in this book and felt really bad for Dru during most of it. What can I say about Tavvy, my second favorite Blackthorn ever? I’m just happy he made friends.

Now onto Queen of Air and Darkness..
