This is not my first Nalini Singh book because I love her Guild Hunter series, but it is my first Rock Kiss book. This can be read as a standalone and I didn't feel like I was missing much other than I knew there was another story happening with Molly and her rocker, Fox. This story is about Charlotte, the mouse and Gabriel, the T-Rex.

Charlotte's past haunts her. Because of what happened to her she lives her life a certain way, always in the background, never at the forefront. Underneath the insecurities is a fiery little beast. She is learning to live outside her fears and is definitely becoming bolder. A lot of the push to break out of her shell comes from the highly inappropriate, new CEO, Gabriel Bishop.

Ex-rugby player, now no-nonsense boss has come to turn another failing company around. He is welcomed to the new office by a flying stapler and scaring the life out of Charlotte. While Ms. Baird is not his typical chase, there is something about her that he wants and no is just not an option. There journey to find happiness together was quite a beautiful, filled with flying objects, growls, bites and humor.

I enjoyed watching these two characters interact. The were wildly entertaining and had amazing chemistry. I liked watching the mouse grow some claws and the T-Rex eat some veggies. As with other books by Ms. Singh, this book was story rich, which makes it feel like you are right there with the characters. There were times that the story was a little slow and I really wanted some action a little bit sooner. But over-all a true enjoyment to read and now I want to go back and read Molly's story.
