Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement by Angela Y. Davis

Great collection of speeches and interviews. Made it very helpful to start understanding collective solidarity across transnational boundaries and why that’s so important, and also the degree to with movements are not made by individuals. We have such a tendency to want a “hero” figure when affecting change but even when there have been those “heroes” they’re always on the shoulders of collective movements.
