towards the end I started reading slower, trying to somehow make this book last forever. told by Demon himself, his is a story both brutal and beautiful!
I've never read a book that made me cry like Demon Copperhead did. I wept! but I laughed too (he's funny!), and felt proud of Demon as if I knew him in real life. the way we get to know him as a 10 year old boy, a teenager and then a young man allows it. it makes you feel like you really know him. it makes you care for him deeply, which is heartbreaking when things get tough. and they get tough often. but when things get good, the joy is immense!
no doubt my new favourite book!
