The Weight of Stars by Tessa Gratton

2.5

honestly i felt this collection was completely unnecessary. it added nothing to the world of the united states of asgard. individual story reviews down below.

gold runner -  i really loved being in amon's head and exploring his thoughts on himself, his family/friendships, his actions and the world and history around him. the only issue i had with this was that some descriptions of kasja in the book felt a lot like they were written by a male author. for example; "i can't get used to the tight feel of her breasts against my back, her thighs hugging my hips." it just felt unnecessarily sexual for no reason. my only other issue is a personal one but i already knew the ending to this story as it's explained in book 3. it's a good story if you want to know the concrete details but overall, i knew what was gonna happen in this story. it was lovely exploring the details tho. i'll give the story 3.5/5 stars.

lady berserk -  oh boy. i didnt like this story anywhere near as much as i liked the first one. i had so many issues with the way that vider is portrayed, how her being a lady berserker affected her and other things. most importantly, i was uncomfortable with the fact that loki, an immortal god, has been in love with vider, a human girl, since she was LITERALLY A CHILD. LIKE 5 YEARS OLD. i,,,,ill add the trigger warnings when i get to the end of this short story collection and do my final review overall, but yh, no. i think this'll be my least favourite story, unless glory's teeth pulls some bullshit outta nowhere. i was gonna give it 2.5 stars but i can't. 1.5 stars.

glory's teeth -  i really did not care reading this book. i'm sorry to say lol. it's a lot of rambling and talk and action but nothing happens. nothing changes. glory is the same at the beginning and the end of the story. overall, i just didn't care and that frustrates me so 2 stars.
