A friend lent me her physical copy, which sadly lingered in the tomb that is my physical TBR pile for far too long (it was successfully resurrected by realizing it wag also on KU, so the book was returned to my friend's TBR and I got Lillian her page pennies from the Zon). I devoured this book. I loved each of Grace's gargoyles; Broderick's seductive care, Elliott's enthusiasm, and Alastair's steadfast affection.
And while I didn't *love* Elliott's scheming, I understand it was coming from a place of security and trauma and could move past it as easily as Grace did. Each of them had a lot of trauma to bond over and I always have a soft spot in my heart for a found family success story.
