NOTE: I love the Rizzoli and Isles series from Tess Gerritsen. Each book brings a really good thriller and usually some really great character development. I would recommend this series to anyone who reads Mystery/Thrillers!

What I Loved: The case in Ice Cold was not straight-forward nor was it easy to figure out. There are some very chilling moments that will make the hair on the back of your head stand up. I really enjoyed Rizzoli in this book, also. It was fun watching her balance all her new roles (don't want to give anything away if you are behind in the series) along with being a great cop. As always, the friendship that she and Maura has shines through everything even when they are disagreeing.

What I Liked: The secondary characters really made Ice Cold shine! The characters were complicated, interesting, unexpected, and their fates weren't what I was expecting. I can't really be more specific without giving things away but trust me, these characters were all interesting.

Complaints: The first half of this book really crawled for me but was not badly done. There was a lot of character plotting and not enough case for my preference.

Audio Review: Narrated by Tanya Eby who I think did an excellent job. She had really good pacing, accentuation, and emotion.

Why I gave it a 3.5: I really enjoyed this book overall and thought it was a good addition to the series. I am really looking forward to Silent Girl!
