When Team Avatar return to Earthen Fire Industries, the factory first introduced in The Rift, they find a city that has grown so much. And with that, the building of tensions between benders and non-benders in a society that is learning, quite well, how to progress without the need for benders. Sure the plot is a bit predictable and the character designs a little (a lot) obvious, but it's still a well written Avatar story that continues the threads set up in the show and the previous books, and does it well. If you've also watched Legend of Korra, you'll start to see some of the connections that are being established, and it's up to you to piece it altogether.

The art style is a little different than the previous books, but I got used to it pretty quickly. The characters' voices are true to form, and the dynamic between all of them is just as lively as ever.

Normally I feel that once a character's story is told, it should be done. Stop trying to create new problems that these people have to deal with over and over again. But with this group, I could devour these stories for all time. Hopefully we get to see more of Team Avatar in the future.
