I always struggle to get through history books, as they fail to grab my attention. However, while dense at times, this heavy take on historical events from the perspectives of many marginalized groups helped me better understand the cycles of oppression that we've seen in our often-downplayed history. At times it felt like Zinn really wasn't good at transitioning well from one time and subject matter to the next, but maybe that was just because I was listening to the audible version. Overall, this is an important work and I appreciated being able to learn so much about those whose voices aren't heard often enough.
