Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare

5.0

Ok. So I will never say, “She’s writing ANOTHER Shadowhunter series?” again. Because here’s the thing: She’s awesome at it. Every time I start reading another book from Cassie Clare, I remember why I fell in love with reading. Every time I’m in a slump, her stories can pull me out. Every time I think, maybe I’m just burned out from too much YA, she reminds me that it isn’t the genre, it’s just that I’m not finding the right books.

I loved this book. I haven’t flown through a book this quickly in over a year. I love these characters, this world, and the tormented romances that Cassie writes so well. I don’t care if there are “problems” with it. It captivated me, as all her books do (I will, however, pretend the #4-6 mortal instruments don’t exist
