Review:

Good story. Not super well executed in parts. But was very creepy.

Review previously placed on my blog:

I'm currently reading Bird box by Josh Malerman. This is the first book in the Bird box series. I'm reading a Dutch copy from the library whilst listening to the audiobook. Reading this for a buddy read. Not sure if I will add the second book to my Series TBR, we shall see.

This is good so far. I like the set up and the way it is written. I don't like the main character very much, but I think that is supposed to be the case. It is very disturbing so far. The build-up is very good so far. I also enjoy the different timelines.

In the end the writing didn't really do it for me. Might have been the translation. It just felt a bit detached. But the story was very good and it did what it set out to do. It made me feel unsettled. Not sure if I will read the sequel though, it was a good standalone.
