Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol

4.0

My second graphic novel of the day. This is what happens when you are under the weather and don't feel like venturing outdoors.

"Anya's Ghost" is a graphic novel targeted at the young adult set. The title character Anya, is a teenage Russian immigrant attending an American private school. She has only one friend and not a very good one at that...until she falls down a well and stumbles across a ghost. The ghost decides to be Anya's new best friend. Think standard high school fare with a ghost thrown into the mix.

Overall, an enjoyable read. I liked the style of the drawings. The graphic style reminded me of one of my favorites: Persepolis.
