The illustrations are gorgeous! The representation is beautiful!! This is a quiet, lyrical book.
The story has a choppy, stream-of-consciousness feel that was a bit jarring to the rhythm at times, leaving me feeling the need to reread and see if I missed something, but I didn't - there were just some big jumps that seemed disconnected from the previous thought.
