The story keeps getting more interesting as it goes along, mostly tracking the evolution of Anton's character and his capabilities. I can't get over how much better the books are than the two movies that were based on them (the movies seem to be based more on episodes from the first book, with some stuff from the second book, but then it gets wrapped up neatly at the end).
