This book is not exactly what I expected but it still delivered. It’s written in first person and everything is narrated from Bateman’s pov so we have an unreliable narrator. I still think the format is on point because we get to see everything from the mind of a psychopath. The descriptions are cold and matter-of-factly and he can be talking about dismembering a young woman the same way he talks about his favorite music. Bateman can go on different tangents and discusses topics in obsessive detail but always with this cold and emotionless tone, no matter what he’s describing. It’s shocking and captivating, and you truly feel like you’re in the mind of a psychopath.
