What Feasts at Night by T. Kingfisher
3.5
dark mysterious medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

Far be it for me to criticize T. Kingfisher, who I wholeheartedly adore, but ...
Alex Easton is not my favorite. I didn't exactly love the first in this series, and this is not better. This is basically a casual sleep demon haunting. It was fine. There's body horror, creepy atmosphere, and Miss Potter being Miss Potter. There was an infuriating conversation between the widow and Easton though that could have been funny if it wasn't so frustrating with poor communication between the characters. So yeah.
I've proven I'll read anything Kingfisher writes though, so I'll be enthusiastically reading the next in this series anyway.
