This book did not live up to the hype for me. I didn’t hate it, that’s why it got 3 stars, but overall it just felt pretty simply written and predictable. None of the characters had much depth at all, and the plot was not gripping enough to keep my interest. It seems like the author was trying to be clever with some aspects of the story, but those moments felt flat, even corny at times. Overall, I didn’t have a horrible time, but I will not be continuing the series.
