Another book I really enjoyed. The more that I read the more I liked it. I really have to commend the author with how well she expressed and portrayed the black female lead character. It kinda felt like I was reading about myself, or a friend. She was relatable, plus size, weave wearing, funny, and an older main character. This book was just super refreshing.

I think maybe we got into a little too much detail about her family as we rarely saw them in the book. Some of the main characters hang ups, and secret keeping reasonings to not make sense- not if everyone is as close as we are initially made to think. Why wouldn't you want to share some of these things.

Now Conner...I loved Conner! He is something. I loved his character, he was well written and sexy and interesting/ I love both how he treated the main character [Resha] as well as his whole vibe. I would've liked this book more if it has started in NYC, instead of getting their meet cute in a flashback.

The ending of the stalker saga was unsatisfactory. The main conflict in this book felt like it would be her stalker but no- it was her late in life pregnancy? The stalker was an after thought and then Connor just kills him??? okayyyyyye?
