I think this was a great follow up to Horus Rising and I enjoyed the bits where the story was told from Horus’ perspective. Watching the chosen son of the emperor slowly be turned against is genuinely sad at times, and the fact his men love him so much they are willing to go against imperial rule for him is a testament to the kind of man Horus Lupercal is. I eagerly start the next book.
