such beautiful writing and absolutely adore the characters and premise. the magical typewriter, the rivals to lovers, it was soooo tasteful.
this honestly could’ve been a five star read if not for the last third of the book :( romaniris are absolutely everything and i loved how they were going up until… everything moved a little to fast and i couldn’t really understand how we got there? it was like the longing and the yearning and the passion i could no longer feel once they actually got together perhaps bc it was so rushed. i wish we got some more build up and tension, especially after roman’s confession. i feel like some more world building and delving into the magic systems, the lore, etc would also help w easing the rushed third act.
nevertheless, i am excited to pick up the sequel as soon as i can get my hands on it.
