The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

It took me a long time to read this book, partly because I didn't want it to end. If you loved the TV show Firefly, but wanted more of the interpersonal relationships, then this book is perfect for you. Don't read if you want something plot heavy.

The science is easy to digest, and the each chapter feels like an episode in a TV show. Even though it has a cozy feel to it, the book does not shy away from horror and tragedy. I enjoyed getting to know each of the characters even the ones that are unlikeable. I especially liked Sissix and learning about Aandrisk's culture.
I loved the romance sideplot between Rosemary and Sissix.
The ending was a little anticlimactic, but I was not reading it for the overarching plot. I will probably end up buying a physical copy of the book to reread.
