I adore the cozy small town atmosphere that Borison creates in this series, complete with hyper-competitive trivia nights, top-notch bakeries, and a phone tree that exists primarily for the purpose of spreading town gossip, and her sparkling writing style. There's such a wonderful sense of place here and description after description that makes me feel transported to Inglewild. What frustrated me a little here was the sheer number of miscommunications between Beckett and Evie, including a few that could have been easily solved. Not every book needs a third-act breakup and I'm not sure this one did.
