The Gypsy thing is never going to stop bothering me, so even if it isn’t problematic, then it keeps me from enjoying the book fully.
That said, this author really panders to my (hates toxic monogamy) mood, and these series don’t feel at all repetitive, and it just feels like when there’s immortality in question, then people don’t really hold to weird ass backwards morals, and I see how that’s realistic?
And she doesn’t give miraculous saves to beloved characters. But the way Violet mourns isn’t entirely clear. She is human, but spiced up? So if she has or doesn’t have other morals and feelings related to her reactions I’m not entirely sure.
I do appreciate the morally black gray men, and it is a fun read anyway.
