Alpha's Secret by Renee Rose, Lee Savino

3.0

Grizz and Jordy's story felt different from the other alpha books to me. A little sadder, with two broken spirits, and much more intense. It was also interesting in that Jordy was submissive and Grizz did not engage in the world of D/s or BDSM.

In terms of the Paranormal, I much prefer shifters to vampires. I don't read vampire takes if I can avoid them. The vampires in the book give it a darker edge and added suspense.

Grizz and Jordy finding a level of peace in being together was sweet, and included steamy moments. I know Jordy was a fox and submissive, but, she seemed more abused into submission then naturally submissive.

This book is a standalone, but I believe it would be more enjoyable if you read at least the book or two prior to this one. It was difficult for me to get into this one. When I got to the end, I was surprised. It was pretty abrupt. I needed an epilogue of something. I would give it 2.5 stars.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
