There are probably, literally, a million reviews for this book.

I also went into it after reading said reviews that this should be considered more of a prequel/first book situation as Christie was still developing her lead detective, Poirot.

This was a quick listen and I enjoyed going back and forth with Poirot, although our narrator Hastings annoyed the crap out of me. He professes to have critical thinking skills but he should rethink that!

Anyway, now I'm going to move on with higher expectations as the devotees say the series gets better as it goes and Christie fine tunes her styl
