I now know why this is so beloved and was immediately ON BOARD. But oh my gosh the amount of reviews I saw calling these characters “middle-aged” - y’all they are 37 and 32! That is NOT what I was expecting. Is this middle-aged now?! AHHHHH
Anyway, after I got over the horror of what some readers think of my fast-approaching age, I fell head over heels in love with this. Everything I could’ve wanted from it, it gave! It’s funny, well-written, has characters I cared about from the first page I met them, and a love story that made my heart melt. Plus, unexpectedly, a lofty dose of severed heads. Adding just a dab of mystery and horror to something otherwise very cozy. Will definitely be reading the rest of the series!!
