Thorn by Tracy Lorraine
4.0

"Jake Thorn might be a bastard, but he's a bloody beautiful one at that."

YA bully romances can be a hit or miss for me. Thorn definitely falls in the hit column!

If you enjoy a good hate-to-love, bully romance with some good push-and-pull then look no further. These two broken characters will captivate you and you'll be hooked from the start. I certainly was!

After a tragic loss, Amalie moves to America from London to live with her Gran. She just wants to blend in and keep her head down until she can graduate. Will that happen? Of course not, especially when Jake takes one look at her and decides he's going to make her life hell and run her out of town.

Jake is the typical king of the school and the town. He does whatever he wants, when he wants. He doesn't care who he hurts along the way and doesn't shy away from breaking the rules. Don't get me wrong I hated Jake at first but the more we learned about why he is the way he is, the more I understood him and started to fall for the broken boy. As the story progresses his anger issues and pent up frustration become completely understandable.

Tracy Lorraine really delivers with this one. This was my first book by her and I know it won't be my last. Paine will be Book 2 in the Rosewood High series that will follow Camila and Mason and I can't wait. I need to know so much about their relationship or lack thereof.

"I might want to hurt her, but I'll be fucked if I'm letting anything else happen to her."

(I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.)
